Vermont minimum wage increasing to $8.46, meals and lodging allowance up
The Vermont Department of Labor announced on Friday that the state minimum wage will be increasing to $8.46 per hour from $8.15 per hour on January 1, 2012. Click here to read the DOL release.
Careers in International Development - a free event!
On Thursday, November 17, the Vermont Council on World Affairs and the University of Vermont Department of Community Development and Applied Economics are co-sponsoring an event titled “Careers in International Development: From Vermont to the World."
This event will take place at University of Vermont, at University Heights North-1-Multipurpose room (campus map) and will begin at 6 p.m. There will be brief presentations and a panel discussion from 6-7 p.m. followed by a networking reception featuring light refreshments. We have confirmed attendance from Tetra Tech-ARD, DAI, and have also invited World Learning, the Institute for Sustainable Communities, and the Population Media Center.
