BURLINGTON, VERMONT, June 15 – Despite heavy rains and record high-water levels, Lake Champlain, "America’s Sixth Great Lake," is alive, well, and open for pleasure. On June 11th, Andy Nash, chief meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Burlington, told the Burlington Free Press that "The lake has dropped to a moderate flood stage, about 101 feet, a level we've seen many times before."
