BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce announced today that their website, Vermont.org, which serves more than a million visitors each year, has officially gone mobile.
“While the World Wide Web jumped on the mobile bandwidth-wagon a few years ago, here in Vermont, we wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fad,” said Chamber President Tom Torti clutching his Blackberry. “And we’re pretty confident the best apps are still made of Vermont maple or cheddar.”
In all seriousness, Vermont.org is proud to announce new features and resources for today’s traveler. Increasingly, travelers turn to their mobile devices to plan their stay in Vermont. Whether that is booking a room with one of our exceptional hotels or B&Bs; finding that new experience that caps off their visit or deciding which one of our local restaurants to try; they are doing much of that research on their phone. Vermont.org now has all of the great information you can find on our website in an easy to navigate mobile platform.
“Vermont is known for its classic and quaint allure, but we’re tech-savvy too,” Torti continued. “It’s only appropriate that you can now easily find Vermont.org’s information on places to stay, things to do and more at the touch of your phone.”
In many ways, Vermont’s pace is an admirable trait. Just ask the population of Brooklynites sporting plaid and lumberjack beards, or better yet, visit Vermont yourself: www.Vermont.org.
