The Vermont Convention Bureau aligned with its member, Jay Peak, to successfully sign an agreement with Porsche Club of America to host their 2016 Porsche Parade. The Parade is the Porsche Club of America’s biggest event of the year. Parade brings club members from all across North America together for a once a year extravaganza filled with competitive events, a potpourri of activities and the opportunity to socialize with other owners and enjoy their cars. Seminars and tours add to the event’s variety. According to Susan Smith, Executive Director of the Vermont Convention Bureau, “This event will result in over $1.2 million dollars in economic impact to the state of Vermont while the group is visiting. We are very pleased that Porsche Club of America has chosen Vermont for their premier event.”
Besides entrants, representatives from the Porsche factory in Stuttgart and from Porsche Cars North America attend, along with numerous automotive industry spokespeople. Porsche Panorama, the official magazine of PCA, showcases the event and the results. Samantha Buczek, Sales Manager at the Vermont Convention Bureau began working with Conference Direct’s, Kristy Heath, the meeting planner for Porsche Club, in March of 2012. Samantha partnered with Jay Peak, a Vermont Convention Bureau member, to present the award winning venue.
