The Professional Mentoring Program requires a six month commitment where mentees and mentors meet a minimum of one time a month. The Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce will facilitate the first meeting, but all other plans will be made between the mentee and mentor.
Special thanks to Leunig's Bistro for sponsoring the Professional Mentoring Program!
Our first year of the Professional Mentoring Program was a success, with 10 early stage professionals getting mentoring from 10 established professionals. The initiative focused on providing up and coming individuals with meaningful support from leaders in the community.
This program would not have been possible without our sponsor People's United Bank and the wonderful mentors who signed on:
Mary Powell, President and CEO of Green Mountain Power
Mike Schirling, Executive Director of BTV Ignite
Bill Shouldice, President and CEO of Vermont Teddy Bear
Martha Maksym, Executive Director of the United Way of Northwest Vermont
Sara Byers, President and Co-Owner of Leonardo's Pizza and Leonardo’s of Vermont
Al Gobeille, Owner of Gobeille Hospitality
