Work at the Chamber

Susan handles all of the membership recruitment for the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as member services and retention for the 2,100+ member businesses. She directs all the member benefit programs and manages the VACE Cigna Health Insurance and Northeast Delta Dental programs.

Susan handles the recruiting and management of many of the networking events held by the Chamber, including the area's premier monthly Business After Hours events, the semi-annual New Member Luncheons, and the annual Taste of the Chamber held every March. She is also co-coordinator of the largest fund raiser event at the chamber: the Annual Silent Auction.

Susan staffs the Ambassadors Committee and is the project manager for the Paul Gallagher Entrepreneurial Scholarship.

Susan has an active role in the organization's recent transition to a new database management system. She is instrumental in the data analysis and process development of this new system and ensuring that we use its features to better assist our membership.

Education & Prior Experience

Susan in a native Vermonter and a graduate of Champlain College. She began her career at the Chamber in 2002 as the Director of Member Sales. Susan was promoted to Director of Member Development and Benefits in 2007. Before her work at the chamber Susan worked as an independent contractor for six years with House of Lloyd in Kansas City, MO and owned and operated several different businesses.

Susan is graduate of Leadership Champlain, Class of 2006 and is a member of the Women Business Owner's Network Group (WBON).

She resides in South Burlington with her husband and their blended family of five children.
