Work at the Chamber/VCB
Maureen is responsible for promoting Vermont as a meeting destination
and runs the convention bureau’s Boston area office. She works with
all markets in New England (outside of Vermont).
Education & Prior Experience
Maureen holds an associate’s degree in Hospitality Management
from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondack Mountain region of New York
State. Maureen has attended Johnson State College and is currently taking
a break from her pursuit of a business degree through the college’s
external degree program.
Maureen is originally from Vermont and now lives in Plymouth, Mass. She is
a member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and
Meeting Planners International (MPI). She is active in attending MPI, the
New England Society of Association Executives, as well as the Professional
Conference Managers Association meetings in the Boston area, and uses these
avenues as a way to promote Vermont.
She was the Director of Sales for the VCB from 1996-2000. After relocating
to Massachusetts with her husband in 2000, Maureen rejoined the convention
bureau staff in late 2002 when the VCB opened its Boston area office.
