Study Abroad

*Bennington College
The opportunity to study abroad—whether for a term or an entire year—is available to all students, and can be a wonderful way to expand upon the student's work at Bennington and to expand or specialize a student's interests and area of concentration in a new and exciting environment. Bennington students have studied across the globe in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and Central and South America. Bennington has relationships with several study abroad programs, but also allows students to research new programs and to propose them for study abroad possibilities. *Burlington College
In addition to regularly scheduled travel experiences, like the Spanish Intensive in Mexico, other study abroad options are available. Through our affiliation with Study Abroad Italy, students can apply to study for a semester at schools in Florence, Milan, Rome, and Sicily. Semester long study may also be arranged for qualified students in Havana, Cuba. Students should contact their advisors well in advance of the semester they plan to travel for more information. *Champlain College
Champlain Abroad offers students an international perspective and prepares them to be global professionals. Our courses fit across majors with a variety of liberal arts, professional, and interdisciplinary options that provide students with an understanding of cultures and perspectives different than their own assisting them in creating a more global understanding of themselves. *Green Mountain College
Green Mountain College has a distinctly international flavor, with students representing over 15 different countries. The College also sponsors an impressive array of programs aimed at providing students with a cross-cultural dimension to their education and fosters an authentic global outlook. *Marlboro College
Marlboro College offers a variety of study abroad programs for students seeking to widen their horizons and world views. Students have studied cultural practices in Mongolia, sustainable communities in India, and advanced their language skills in Argentina, China, and Tunisia, among others. Internships have taken students to places like Brazil, Guatemala or Ghana for a semester or year at a time. Click here for more information.

*Middlebury College
Each year a significant number of Middlebury students study abroad on externally-sponsored programs (programs other than Middlebury Schools Abroad) in countries such as Australia, Botswana, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Ghana, Greece, India, Ireland, Kenya, Madagascar, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Peru, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and more! *Norwich University
To many countries in almost all parts of the world. You will, however, want to select a program that has a solid reputation. Norwich currently has a cooperative agreement with Lexia International (which runs programs in many parts of the world) and is in the process of considering others. Norwich also has exchange programs with the Australian Defence Force Academy, the German Federal Military University, and the St Cyr Special Military School in France. *Saint Micheal’s College How do you see the world? One country at a time, of course. Saint Michael’s offers more than 100 study abroad programs in countries spanning the globe. Where will you go? How about Argentina, Botswana, China, Denmark or England?  More than a third of Saint Michael’s students take advantage of the opportunity to spend a semester, academic year or summer abroad. *School for International Training
A pioneer in experiential, field-based study abroad, SIT offers semester, summer, and academic year programs for undergraduate students in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, as well as comparative programs in multiple locations. *Southern Vermont College
Southern Vermont College students wishing to study abroad are required to do so through a program sponsored by an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning. Study abroad is recommended for the spring semester of the junior year or for the summer between the junior and senior year. Students must apply for permission to study abroad from the Provost by filing an application which identifies the course work that will be completed at the foreign institution and for which degree requirements those courses will substitute. *Sterling College
Sterling is one of only seven Work-Learning-Service colleges in the nation. Those three words - Work-Learning-Service - define how Sterling views the world, how we judge ourselves, and how we wish to be judged by others. All students work on campus, earning a portion of their tuition fees while serving the community. Click here for more information.

*Vermont Law School
Vermont Law School's International and Comparative Law Programs offer many options in terms of length, courses of study, and international locales. Study Abroad Semester program offers JD students an opportunity to attend courses at one of our partner institutions in Canada, Spain, or Italy for a full semester. Study Abroad Seminars offer students an introduction to international and comparative law concepts and the opportunity to travel to a foreign law school for one intensive course. *University of Vermont
Nearly 37% of UVM undergraduates study abroad in nearly 80 countries each year. Some study for just a few weeks, while many spend one semester or a year studying in a foreign country. Our Study Abroad Advisors assist students in determining what options might be the right fit for their academic and personal goals. Our staff also help UVM faculty organizing courses abroad. *Castleton State College
There are numerous accredited programs, as well as Castleton's London semester and and the Santa Fe Semester plus single courses offered with 10 to 14-day field trips. The Spanish Department sends all its majors abroad and is a treasure trove of information on study in Spanish speaking countries in either South American or Spain. Click here for more information

*Community College of Vermont
Study abroad with CCV and earn credit while experiencing other countries and cultures. With a class size limit of 18, you can expect the same student-centered learning experience you have in your other CCV courses. Study abroad courses include an eight to ten-day study trip, led by an instructor and a CCV staff member. Course fees can be covered by financial aid or through CCV's payment plan. *Lyndon State College
Lyndon currently has formal student exchange agreements with the New England/Nova Scotia Exchange Program (11 colleges), and the New England/Quebec Exchange Program (18 colleges).We also have a study abroad program with The Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham, England. Students are eligible to apply for study abroad if they have a cumulative G.P.A. of no less than 3.00 and are in their fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh semester of study at Lyndon. The Director of Student Academic Development coordinates this program and also maintains a file of information on institutions in a number of other countries.
