LAKE CHAMPLAIN:
BIGGER, BETTER THAN EVER

Swim, sail, bike, and run….Lake Champlain is open for fun! Lake Champlain and its surrounding recreational path and attractions are open for the summer and residents and tourists alike can enjoy all your usual activities – sailing, swimming, fishing, a run on the bike path, and so much more! Baby, we’re back!

All the lake activities that you enjoy are available:

  • Anglers are reporting excellent fishing
  • The lake’s steady, predictable winds are delighting sailors and windsurfers.
  • The Lake Champlain Islands – 200 miles of shoreline in Lake Champlain! www.champlainislands.com
  • The Lake Champlain Historic Underwater Preserve is open for the season and welcoming divers.
  • Lake cruise ships Spirit of Ethan Allen III and Northern Lights depart daily from the Burlington Waterfront.
  • The Community Sailing Center at the Burlington Waterfront will open July 4
  • Most boat launch ramps are open for power-boating enthusiasts
  • Point Bay Marina, www.pointbaymarina.com, is 100% open
  • Malletts Bay Marina, www.mallettsbaymarina.com, is currently doing repair work and the gas dock will be open Friday, July 1!. The boatyard is dry and the marina expects to be open before long
  • Richelieu River is open without restrictions, so we look forward to welcoming back our Canadian boaters!
