Flying To Burlington and the
Lake Champlain Region
A host of new, economical
flights from several
U.S. cities have made Burlington
and the Lake Champlain Region a
convenient and affordable
destination, for a weekend or a
week, for many millions of
Americans. In addition,
Burlington International Airport
has undergone major expansions
and improvements that enhanced
aesthetics, increased parking,
improved baggage handling, and
facilitated increased
emplanements, making it one of
the most user-friendly airports
in the country.
The revolution began five
years ago with the advent of
JetBlue service between New
York's JFK Burlington
International Airport. Today,
thanks to popular demand,
JetBlue flights originate from
California, Colorado, Florida,
Nevada, Utah, Washington, D.C.,
and upstate New York. Three
daily flights between Burlington
and JFK make Vermont an easy
destination for the entire New
York metropolitan area
population. Bostonians will also
be able to fly to Burlington
before long.
The final link has been
supplied by direct flights
offered by major carriers like
Delta, United, and U.S. Airways
to and from Philadelphia,
Cleveland, Pittsburgh,
Cincinnati, Albany, Boston,
Chicago, New York City
(LaGuardia), Newark, and
Washington, D.C. (Reagan
National).
