The Burlington region becomes an epicenter of outdoor activity in the winter.
With internationally acclaimed ski resorts, hundreds of trails, thousands
of acres of superb terrain, and fresh layers of snow on much of it, Burlington
is a popular ‘base camp’ for ski and snowboard vacations that include visits
to the multiple resorts within a short drive. Burlington and the Lake Champlain
Region have been enjoying a heavy natural snowfall, which means only good
things for winter vacationers. For those who’ve been contemplating a winter
vacation to our region, this is definitely the year to do it.
Burlington and the Lake Champlain Region offer a wide variety of exciting
activities and events for off-mountain entertainment as well. Cross country
skiing trails are in excellent shape and snowshoeing enthusiasts are finding
the trails and backcountry just as inviting. Urban diversions are offered
by Burlington’s famed historic Church Street Marketplace, where visitors
discover Vermont’s cosmopolitan assortment of shops, boutiques, pubs,
cafes, and restaurants.
