Tom Torti has been the President of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2006. Prior to his appointment, he spent 16 years serving in senior cabinet positions in the state government. Tom has been active in his community and the region serving as a member of the Essex Select Board and Planning Commission; the Chittenden County Transportation Authority; the Maple Leaf Farms Board of Directors and coaching youth sports. He currently serves on the Boards of The Committee on Temporary Shelter, RunVermont, Hunger Free Vermont and is a Trustee of Burlington College. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Michael’s College and his Master’s Degree from the University of Vermont.

Cathy heads the Chamber’s legislative advocacy, visitor services and economic development teams. A member of the Chamber’s executive team, she works to ensure that the Chamber remains a strong voice for our business community that delivers results for its members. Prior to joining the Chamber, Cathy worked for former US Senator James M. Jeffords, running his Burlington district office and representing him on immigration and international affairs issues. Cathy serves on the boards of Green Up Vermont and Hunger Free Vermont. She is married with two children and resides in Jericho. Learn more about Cathy here.

Pat serves as the Chamber’s Financial Operations Manager. Prior to joining the Chamber, he spent six years managing the accounting and finance for the North American branch of Garmont. Patrick received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Vermont and is a lifelong resident of Essex, Vermont. Patrick enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing and hockey. Nicole serves as the Operations Manager for the Chamber. She is responsible for Accounts Receivables, improving the operational systems and best practices that ensure the Chamber’s efficiency, serves as the Board liaison, manages vermont.org/chamber and more! As our Member Engagement Manager, Billy is responsible for developing plans and managing activities that build and strengthen relationships with our community. He helps new members understand how to get the most from Chamber membership, and he works with members and partners to ensure the Chamber supports their work, understand their challenges, and helps them move forward. He is responsible for CRM, recruiting new members, and for advertising sales. Billy enjoys spending time with his busy family and their dog, reading, writing, hiking, and gardening. Erin supports the Chamber’s regional tourism and event functions. She works to market the Lake Champlain region as a tourism destination and manages the Chamber’s networking and annual events. Erin also directs the Burlington Young Professional group. A native Western New Yorker moving to Vermont after completing her B.A. from Plattsburgh State, Erin spends her free time with friends and family, outside, cooking or reading a good book. Tori manages all Chamber communications. She also heads up Leadership Champlain, the Chamber’s professional development and community engagement program. She is a native New Yorker and moved to Vermont after completing her B.A. in Political Science from the University at Albany to pursue a life nestled between Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains. Director of Entrepreneurship

John is the director of LaunchVT, a statewide business mentoring and pitch competition and HackVT, a 24hr hack-a-thon competition. Prior to joining LCRCC John consulted for businesses and nonprofits and he was a co-founder of the Entrepreneurship Institute for the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont. He has degrees in Economics, Sociology, and Education from the University of Vermont. Learn more about John here.
Government Affairs Manager

Austin Davis joined the chamber in November as the Government Affairs Manager. Prior to joining the chamber, Austin served as the Communications & Operations at Renewable Energy Vermont. He is a life-long resident of the Champlain Valley and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Community & International Development from the University of Vermont. When Austin is not working, he can be found skiing, mountain biking, or climbing around Vermont.
Gail is in charge of VQEI relations. Gail currently consults for the International Cryosphere Climate Initiative, was Director of International Programs at Champlain College; served on the Faculty at Middlebury College for many years and has numerous significant academic achievements to her name. Gail holds a Ph.D. in Economics from American University. Gail is fluent in Norwegian, has a command of the Russian language, communicates both in writing and speaking in French and some Spanish. Barb welcomes visitors, answers questions about the area and assists Chamber staff with various projects. She belongs to Burlington Business and Professional Women, volunteers at Hope Lodge and is a Flynn Center Spirit. She enjoys cooking, reading, antiquing, and train travel.
