Staff Spotlight: Susan Smith, Vice President of Visitor Services
Susan is responsible for growing the local economy through the strategic development of driving new business to our hotels and attraction members. She is responsible for developing and executing an annual business development plan working with key members of the VCB Board of Directors and the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee. Susan manages the overall team, assisting with closing, development of new markets, and collaborating with various departments of the Chamber.

What is your personal philosophy?
Newton’s third law [of motion] or karma —The energy that you put into the world comes back. In other words, the fruit is in the seed. You can’t sow an apple seed and expect to get an avocado tree. The consequences of your life are sown in what you do and how you behave.

Cream cheese, I just love it.

Amsterdam. The home of Anne Frank; the bookcase, the diary, the history, the reality.

The Internet and digital transmission

To have been Princess Diana.
