Convention Bureau Promotes Megan Hood to Senior Sales Manager

The Vermont Convention Bureau announced the promotion of Megan Hood, of Waterbury, to Senior Sales Manager today. Hood has been with the Convention Bureau since October of 2015. In her new role, Hood will lead the Convention Bureau’s Burlington sales team, concentrating on bringing new sporting events to Vermont and recruiting new meetings and conventions to our state. Susan Smith, Vice President of Visitor Services for the Chamber commented, “Megan has played an integral role in bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars in new business to the Vermont hospitality industry, creating significant economic returns for Vermont’s economy.”

The Vermont Convention Bureau is a division of the Lake Champlain Chamber. The VCB strengthens the economic vitality of the state by promoting it as a preferred meeting and convention destination.
