It’s February. It won’t stop snowing. It takes the car your whole commute to even warm up.

Explore one of Mexico’s oldest coastal cities, and stay in a private, gated villa. The villa sleeps 10 people, and hosts a staff ready to cater to your every need. Not many vacations come with your own private chef, masseuse and bartender, but then again, not many vacations are quite like this one.

Tip: Come with a game plan. Find your group, and figure out who is going to place the bid ahead of time. This is a blind bid, so the trip goes to the highest bid. The trip is valued at $14,000.
2) The fabulous items don’t stop at Acapulco
Around 100 items will be up for bid, ranging from jewelry and dining gift certificates to electronics and artwork. No matter your interest and budget, you are guaranteed to find something that speaks to you.
Tip: Don’t wait for someone to start the bidding on an item you like. If you want it, go for it, and just keep a close eye on the sheet throughout the night. There will be reminders of when the bidding closes, so you can plan accordingly.
3) Try your luck at a raffle
Not feeling like participating in the silent auction, or want to boost your chances of going home a winner. Several items will be placed in a raffle. You can buy tickets for as little as $5.
Tip: You must stay around until the end of the night when we pull the raffle items. Be sure to also hang on to your ticket and be present in the room when we call numbers.
4) Still plenty of time to network
The Sizzlin’ Summer Auction & Raffle is our March Business After Hours event, so in addition to the ability to bid and raffle on incredible items, you can continue to expand your network.
Our auction is also one of our biggest networking events of the year, so you will meet a diverse group of members.
Tip: Bring your business cards!!
5) Check out DoubleTree by Hilton’s stunning renovations
The event takes place in the stylish, modern and lushly planted atrium. The 252 Tavern, also situated in the atrium is loaded with old-world English charm.
Tip: Another great perk of being at the DoubleTree by Hilton: Parking. There is plenty of parking so you don’t have to fret about walking too far with all the items you won.
6) Amazing food and drinks

Proceeds from this event benefit the Lifelong Learning Fund, a 501 c(3) non-profit that supports the Lake Champlain Chamber’s various workforce development programs like LaunchVT and TIPS. Your donation goes directly to supporting our emerging workforce.
