Training Interns and Partnering for Success (TIPS) is a curriculum taught to Juniors and Seniors in select high schools across Vermont. LCRCC partners with high schools in Chittenden County to deliver TIPS as part of our work to increase the talent pool for our members. Students enrolled in TIPS learn how to write resumes and cover letters, prepare for interviews, and be trained in other important job skills.
The students are required to complete a 20-40 hour internship in a field they may be interested in pursuing after high school. It is a great way for businesses to get connected to a younger generation and show them what they have to offer them here in Vermont!
We would like to thank the participating businesses and organizations who will host a student intern from Colchester High School this fall. Students will learn how a real company works while developing skills that they can take with them after the internship. This program couldn’t continue without the help from local businesses and organizations.
