Burlington Young Professionals sees an emerging and diverse workforce as a competitive advantage for Burlington’s growing economy. As a leading voice for our community’s young professionals, BYP collaborates with local businesses that share its commitment to attracting and retaining young professional talent and empowers young professionals with all business relationships, education and community awareness necessary to become an active community leader.
BYP was founded in 2010 as a program of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce as part of its mission to develop, attract, and retain a talented workforce, and support future business and community leaders. The LCRCC saw a direct need in the community to create a cohesive network for aspiring, young professionals to network, professionally develop and become civically active.
As a young professional, you have the luxury of developing relationships and growing your career in a welcoming environment of your peers.
As a LCRCC member business, you are supporting your young professional talent with the resources they need to excel both personally and professionally.
what we do:
BYP supports an emerging workforce through creative event programming and initiatives
September 25 | 5:30-7:30pm | Skinny Pancake
October 16 | 5:30-7:30pm | Foam Brewers
November 14 | 5-7pm | Waterworks Food + Drink
The BYP Seminar Series is a perfect example of how our community creates opportunities to meet YPs exactly where they are in their professional lives . Whether it be buying their first house, navigating a job transition, or exploring how to find meaning in their career and professional journey, I love how this programming has created a beautiful crossroad of professional development, networking, and meeting new friends. This community of learning and open dialogue has truly allowed YPs to find their place and people, myself included!
